If you have landed here with a question before placing an order, you are in the right place. These are the things people ask me most often, and I would rather answer them properly than leave you guessing.
Is everything really handmade?
Yes, every single piece. I design and make all of it myself in my Sydney studio. There is no factory, no production line, no outsourcing. When your order arrives, it has been shaped, finished, and packed by my hands. Some pieces are made in small batches, others like rings are made to order specifically for you. Either way, a real person made it.
What materials do you use?
Solid sterling silver and solid gold. I don't use plated metals. Plating wears off. Solid silver and gold don't. These pieces are designed to last for years, not seasons.
How do I find my ring size?
Rings are made to order, so getting this right matters. The easiest way to measure at home is to wrap a thin strip of paper around the base of your finger, mark where it overlaps, and measure that length in millimetres. That gives you your circumference. If you have a ring that already fits well, measure the internal diameter in millimetres instead and match it to the size guide on each ring listing.
Fingers can change size depending on the time of day and temperature, so measure at the end of the day when your hands are at their largest. I can also send out a ring sizer if you'd prefer to measure that way. Just get in touch at store@pkd.com.au before you order. Allow around 10 days for your ring to be made to your size.
How do I find my bangle size?
Most of my bangles are open cuffs, which means they have flex and are more forgiving than a fixed bangle. Each listing includes the internal diameter and notes on how it fits. If you are unsure, get in touch.
Can I get a necklace in a specific length?
Many of my necklaces are adjustable by design, with sliding or interlocking catches that let you wear them longer or shorter depending on how you want to style them that day. If you want a specific fixed length please put your prefered length in at the notes at checkout, or have questions about a particular piece, email me at store@pkd.com.au and I will let you know what's possible.
What if it's not right for me?
I offer a 14 day return window from the date you receive your order. Email me, send it back in its original unworn condition, and I will sort it out. Please note that made to order pieces like rings cannot be returned unless there is a fault, which is why getting the size right before you order matters.
