Why some pieces are now pre-order

You may have noticed a few more pieces on the site marked as pre-order, mainly the bigger bangles and the gold earrings. I wanted to explain why, since it's a change I've made carefully rather than something that happened by accident.

Gold and silver prices have climbed a lot this year, and for me that means I can no longer keep every size and every piece sitting ready to send at a moment's notice. Everything I make is solid, everything is handcrafted by me at my bench, and that level of detail has always taken time. Pre-order lets me put that time where it's actually needed, into the exact piece you want, in the exact size you've asked for.

So when you order a bangle in a size that isn't currently in stock, or a pair of gold earrings, I start making it as soon as your order comes through. You're not waiting behind a queue of guesswork, you're getting a piece made specifically because you wanted it.

I know waiting isn't always what you want to hear, especially if a gift is on the way. If you need something by a certain date, drop me a note and I'll do what I can to get it to you in time.
